Artist
Statement

(As of Latest) My works are diverse in medium, ranging from mixed media paintings, digital illustrations, installation, GIFs and video. I identify myself as an avid day-dreamer, and I have desires to express and translate my imaginations into visual work. In my practice I focus on themes that relate to mental illness via escapism, familial bonds & love; all with my own elements of vivid colours and patterns.

I’ve also been creating narrative works that include a common character that I use, the Android, who is a CRT-head figure that represents myself as an anxious, neurodivergent and queer artist. My neurodivergent self-expression matters a lot to me. I believe that through characters such as the Android, I am able to embrace my mental illness as a great part of me and through my journey of understanding myself.

Recently I’ve been also exploring integration of diaspora into my works, as I embrace a bit more of my identity as a Brazilian-Canadian but feel just as detached.
